The well known thirteen-gon circle.
It can be shown that to complete the toroid takes approximately 13.01 square anti-prisms. It's a nice near miss though, and a physical model shows no visible distortion.

Another Version[]
This version of the 13-gon Ring is made from Geomag Premium rods, from the "desire" set, which includes rods of violet, rose, and pink, and panels of transparent violet, rose, and opaque pink.
For fun, I colored the top side of the ring differently from the bottom side of the ring. The topside has only two colors; the bottom has all three.
I also figgered that the alleged "lurid" colors deserved an even more lurid background! ;)
Now the ring has been flipped over, so you can see the tricolored underside. Notice the starkness of the opaque pink triangles.
Thanks again for inspiration to Karl Horton
