My first try with the template created by Amafirlian, and I must say it went surprisingly smooth. Thanks Amafirlian for a good job! The template instructions were a good help.
'Next up is to add more images, and figure out how to put it in the category system. I read the last instructions from Amafirlian, but I'm still not sure how to handle it correctly, can someone help here maybe? I'm thinking a category of "Sculptures" would be the place to put this one?

Thanks Peter! Just the following tag at the end of the article:
Then you'll see that it added this article to the category Sculpture. Notice that it is still in red because the category doesn't exist yet. Now click on it, and put something like
Category for sculptures. [[Category:Top Level]]
The last statement puts the Sculpture Category in the dummy Top Level category so it appears in the treeview on the main page.
